The asbestos training course components include:

• Asbestos and asbestos-containing materials;
• Health effects associated with exposure;
• Legislation;
• Introduction to asbestos abatement methods;
• Asbestos abatement procedures;
• Personal protective equipment;
• Air monitoring and analysis; and
• Other health and safety hazards.

In addition to lectures and written exercises, there are hands-on activities designed to familiarize the students with the practical aspects of asbestos removal.

These include respirator inspections, glove-bag removal exercises, and the construction of a high-risk containment and a three-stage decontamination facility.

In addition to our two-day certification course, we also offer a Four-Hour Asbestos Awareness Workshop. This workshop is designed to be site-specific and will focus on the particular needs of each client. Topics of discussion include.

• Hazards of asbestos;
• Identifying asbestos-containing materials; and
• Control and management of asbestos.
